A&E Network originally produced "Storage War" and attempted to convince Casey Nezhoda to join them. The pair declined because of time limitations, since Casey Nezhoda was responsible for childcare for her children, and Rene needed to focus on the business aspect of his venture. The couple received another chance to play regular characters on season four of "Storage Wars". They played buyers in the initial six episodes, before becoming acting as the main character in the following season.
