Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. From a young stage of life, McCormick was a singer and dance, and she would frequently put on puppet shows for kids in the community. When she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 years old, Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the entertainment industry. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her debut major performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately selected for The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a successful one. McCormick admitted in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year duration in the series. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five on the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. It would have happened she said but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
